- Background
- The Maha Nikaya temple of Khuan Suban Subdistrict, founded in 1932, with its royal boundary grant (wisungkhamasima) in 1968. The abbot since 2014 is Phra Khru Sangkharak Witthawat Chotiyano. A 2022 academic article by Wongsiri Rueangsi (Suratthani Rajabhat University) describes how monks, community leaders and villagers build the temple's boat together, decorated with art and paintings of the Buddha's life.
